1. a fight, often to the death, in which two or more combatants are engaged and the victor is the last surviving participant.
Over and over, these two words pull at me. I think it’s because I have learned, but my nature works against their lesson.
Because my nature is chaos.
Chaos is buying a coal mine by accident. Chaos is waking up every day with no plan. It’s having no filter and being bad at keeping secrets. It’s starting five new projects before the last five are finished. Chaos is graduating with a degree but never once pursuing it. It’s banging against the world with anger and abandon for decades without a plan.
Chaos is needing three chicken coops because I keep coming home with too many chicks every spring. Chaos is saying yes to the next Ruins artist when I know it would be smart to wait and think a bit. Going to the grocery store with no plan, no list, no goal for dinner. Chaos is my default.
