A special OPEN CALL opportunity for PAID subscribers

With great enthusiasm and optimism, I usher in 2025 with the first OPEN CALL to artists at The Ruins.

As many of you know, OPEN CALLS are once a year events that welcome all levels of creative people. But I will let you in on a secret, dear Unicorn. This year will have two and possibly three of these calls to artists of all levels and abilities. Plans are being laid for some seriously fun group projects. This is the first.

What is The Moss Project?

It is 370 tiny rings (I miraculously acquired exactly that many more) that will be filled with filati and installed carefully into the nooks and crannies of The Wandering Wall this spring.

Step One. As a moss artist, you agree that you can work exclusively in filati and/or malmischiato. You can purchase the filati or make it yourself, but the tiny rings are just too small for regular sized tesserae.
