Today, I am on stage, both in the studio and over at The Ruins, for our biggest in person event of 2023. If you are local, you should really hop in the car and get over to Whitsett between 10am and 4pm today, August 19th, for The Between Two Rivers Artist Trail Event.

We will have mosaic, a painted Sunflower refrigerator, hammered copper bowls, a Ruins portrait in progress, an illustrator at work, malmischiato hot glass demos, and homemade cookies! A day to celebrate our beloved Fayette County.

In the spirit of last my Wednesday post, which was a list of ten important things, I am reaching out to a paddle mate of mine to make it real. She is writing for me on a day when I have no time to write for myself.

Mosaicists who write. We need more of them. Take some time to slow down this morning with Helen Miles.

She has been a guest on The Ruins Podcast and is also a Ruins artist, having collaborated on building her native Scotland for The Map Room.
